Andrew joined Douglas & Co, the original partnership, in August 1989 and since then, has specialised in the Agency Sector, for North & Mid Bedfordshire acquiring in-depth knowledge for both the industrial and office markets.

With clients including Institutional Funds, Property Developers and Investors, Local and National Occupiers and individual Landlord’s, he has been involved in and negotiated major transactions on behalf of both owners and occupiers across the office and industrial sectors.

Recent transactions include the sale of a Former Ministry Defence Site having 75,000 square feet of assorted building on a 12 acre site, which has been sold to an owner occupier involved in the Film and Television Industry. He also introduced a company involved in the Frozen Food Market to a Landlord who was able to provide a bespoke design and build opportunity to them to relocate their business into the Bedford area. This resulted in the construction of a purpose built premises of some 26,000 square feet to include a 10,000 square foot cold store facility.

Andrew manages the Bedford Agency Department where industrial, office, retail and land transactions are undertaken and advice is provided to developers for land acquisition and the development of new commercial schemes.

Current projects involving the sale or leasing of existing buildings or land include:

  • A 134,000 square foot warehouse at Vantage Point, Wolseley Road, Woburn Road Industrial Estate, Kempston

  • A 40,000 square foot high bay modern warehouse at Cardington Gate, Bedford on behalf of Industrious

  • High specification office suites on The Pilgrim Centre Office Campus in Bedford on behalf of The Bedford Charity

  • The letting of 49 Mill Street, Bedford, a newly refurbished Town Centre office building
  • New and existing Research and Development accommodation at Colworth Science Park
