David is the Senior Director of Douglas Duff ltd, having graduated from Reading University in 1979 with an Honours Degree in Estate Management and elected as a member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors in 1982. After initially working at the District Valuers Office (in the West Midlands and London), David joined the Milton Keynes Development Corporation in 1982. Since 1984 David has worked for Douglas Duff (formerly Downer Duff) and has been a partner/Director since 1988.
David is a general practice surveyor with a wide range of professional capabilities spanning agency, valuation, landlord and tenant, rating, building surveying and property management. These skills continue to develop a particular specialism in the provision of high level and detailed UK wide consultancy services, mainly to corporate clients in the logistics and retail sectors. The scope of services offered includes strategic and tactical evaluation of client’s occupational and investment portfolios on acquisition, merger and disposal.
David has considerable experience in acting as an expert of property related disputes, rent reviews and structuring lease renewals.
With long term experience and knowledge of the development of Milton Keynes, David has a particular insight and understanding of the planning and development framework of the New Town and the extent of the challenges for future planned growth.
