CENTRE FOR CITIES REPORT http://www.centreforcities.org/
The Centre for Cities Report (see below), as recently publicised by the BBC, rightly identifies Milton Keynes as a location for future growth and investment. Indeed this mirrors the experience in Milton Keynes during the recessions in the 1980’s and 1990’s when rapid and early growth occurred driven by the expansion of private sector firms and the availability of competitively priced land and buildings and a young and skilled labour force.
As was our previous experience , we are currently registering an upturn in property enquiries from regionally based corporate, manufacturing and ‘high technology’ firms as well as companies seeking relocation opportunities following the rationalisation of existing operations elsewhere in the UK and Europe. The profile presented by Milton Keynes with its parkland setting and fast, efficient grid roads together with a range of competitively priced properties for office, production and distribution use is attractive and immediately available, and the potential for the future development of purpose built energy efficient facilities is ready made. With improved transportation systems to London ( the fast trains to London only take 30 minutes), Birmingham and beyond, I am convinced that Milton Keynes represents one of the most attractive locations for business in the South East and that the predictions for ‘power house’ economic growth are well founded.
