Enveco
Douglas Duff ‘got it right first time’ when they showed Enveco the building they would expand into at Michigan Drive, Tongwell.
Company chairman Piyush Shah said the envelope manufacturing business would stay in Denbigh, where it has been for the past 10 years, but its fulfilment centre, Pacplus, would move to Tongwell with the creation of up to 25 new jobs.
“It is an ideal, quiet, location which will allow for the frequent loading and unloading necessary,” he said. Although Enveco has also expanded in the north of the country, they wanted to stay in Milton Keynes on this occasion because of its central position.
The new building offers 40,000 square feet of industrial space and was built for Aviation Metals in 1987. They occupied it until their acquisition by Thyssen Krup, at which point they moved to 140,000 sq ft in Wymbush.
